Just looking at the weather radar and looks like Straddie is copping it, hope everyone comes out the other end safe and dry?

was at a mates place out Redbank way lastnight and it certainly bucketed down there for a short while.
other then a brief mention of a slight chance of thundery rain on the Weatherzone forum, i doubt many people would have expected the downpour they copped yesterday with it not really being forecast from memory, might have caught a few campers out if they got hit by it.

we got hit by the storm.

looks like around 75mm at the point and northern beaches (flinders) main looks like it escaped most of the rain.

will check it out tomorrow, expecting a fair bit of clean up work around work as the sand has been pretty dry of late and its the storm major short burst downpours that do the most damage in sand  :'(
