About ten years ago, one of the big motor magazines carried out a test on about fifteen different types of tyre gauges. They put them through a lot of tests with one of them involving dropping them ten times onto concrete from a height of one metre. Only two passed every test. One was a Lumen for about $24. The other sold for a similar price and had a name starting with S but that is all can remember. I bought a Lumen and could not find the other in the shops.
I am still using it and have looked after it very carefully. I often check it against those pre set tyre inflating machines at service stations. It has always matched them exactly each time.
