Did anyone go up to Mansfield state park in Vic?

Apparently the police were out in force booking people, they were boasting on FB that they booked several trail bikers and a few yobbos in a hilux.

Good job I say!

State Highway Patrol Solo Unit members, conducting patrols of the Mitchell's Track area with 4WD and trail bikes as part of Operation Crossroads, intercepted a convoy of campers about 12.45pm.

Of the five 4WDs, it was a Toyota Hilux that caught the eye of police after two teenagers were seen standing in the ute's tray.

A check of the occupants revealed the 23-year-old driver, from Blind Bight, and his male passenger were not wearing seatbelts.

The group was forced to leave the Hilux behind and hitch a ride with their mates after it was found to be defective.

Police issued six penalty notices to the group for the unrestrained occupants and the defective vehicle.

Hardly murder... Riding in the back of a ute?? That was the only way we got around back home as teenagers with only 6 buses a day to town

Edit: so this is the ute that was defected, tyres out of guards, but cant see much else.

Almost - I've been to three ute fatals where the deceased have been in the rear of the utes - all drivers charged with negligent driving causing death, one was also charged with culpable driving...and all young victims. A ticket is the better option.   :police:

The tube bar looks like an xrox bar, perfectly legal, but agree looks like no mud flaps and tyres are defiantly way out side guards

Good point, I missed the laser cut xrox at the base of the bar.

Forgot to add the LED bar won't pass either.
