We'll be staying at the Delicate Campground in Goolawah NP over Christmas(if there's a spot free when we get there), and I've been complaining about the cost too.

Assuming we don't have to pay for our 12 year old, it's still going to cost us $54/night for a pit toilet, and we have to supply our own water, shower and everything else. I don't mind being self sufficient, but not at that price.

Unfortunately they are one of only a handful of places along the entire NSW coast that will allow our beloved pooch to camp with us during school holidays, so we'll just have to bite the bullet and pay up.

We're taking our black Defender 110, so stop and say hi if you're in the neighbourhood :)

Cheers

Lane Cove NP, Sydney, 3 adults 1 unpowered site $51.27 per night.

Apart from free NPs, the cheapest we have stayed at, is the camp ground at Hill End, $5 per person per night, dogs allowed, hot showers $1 coin for 3mins and toilets or cold shower for freeeeeeezing

A few weeks ago Delicate was surprisingly busy....Point Plomer was very quiet ....

I couldn't imagine how busy it's going to be at xmas ??

Camping at the ocean is very hard....with a dog is even harder....best of luck !!

I think Wilson's Prom had powered sites for $51.80 per night!!!

Unpowered about $23, guess which we took?

I too think park fees are getting a bit steep but to be fair I just paid a 2 night break at a van park in a 'bush' site for $120. Recently a 4 star 2 night break on the Goldy cost us  $380 (2 adults and a toddler). Inflaton may be the enemy >:( >:(
