Jockey wheel bracket

I am thinking of getting rid of swing away jockey wheel.

Is it okay to drill through the trailer frame to attach bracket - or does this weaken the trailer.

It would weaken it a bit, best way is to weld the bracket onto the drawbar.

I always weld mine on. easier than drilling.. thats if you have a welder..

also if welding weld inbetween the trailer frame and the closest point to the frame on the clamp.. if I have explained it well enough.. this stops the bracket from wobbling and therefore the jockey wheel from wobbling. it just holds it more secure, especially if you are using a cheappy clamp as they are weak.
