A link might be helpful so we know what you are talking about?  Or are we supposed to know?

No experience with them.  Link says their power consumption is 96W and being thermoelectric means they will chew through your batteries really quickly.  Think caravan 3 way fridge but without the gas option.

Thanks for the quick replies....could have bought it for a second fridge....husband uncontactable today at work....I thought that it might draw too much.....will say " no thanks. "

Think we might have to borrow the brother-in-laws Engel.

By the way it was a 40litre....

if your looking for something reasonably priced with low power consumption buy a 3way and use it on gas,Had been using a chescold that was 20odd yrs old that died so we picked up a gasmate which works very well when the temp is below 35, anything above 35 we put the fridge into a thermo box ( made ourselves using a seafood transport container box thingy) which happily keeps the stuff inside around a constant 2-4 degrees.

9kg gas bottle sees around 25-27days of constant continuous use
