Kumbia Qld Centenary Celebrations – July 28th 2012

Hope nobody minds if I promote this on the forum.  If you are in the area or have any ties to Kumbia this may be of interest to you.

Lots of competitions on the day:

Cooking
Apron
China Tea Cup
Tug-o-war
Pie eating
Lamington eating
Cow milking
Wife Carrying Race

Street Parade, Historical Walk, Bus Tours, Decorated Bikes, Displays, Food Stalls, Whip Cracking, Limited over cricket match, Egg & Spoon race, 3 legged race, Sack Race, Bridal gown display.

So all in all a very big day for the small township of Kumbia.  Hope you can attend.

I'll put my money on Lyall and Julie to win the wife carrying race!
Cheers,

Tom.

If it's the same Lyall I am thinking of, he might be best to stay behind the camera.

I think we are talking about the same Lyall! Haven't seen him or Julie for many years.
Cheers,

Tom.
