The Missus has been checking out Fenix torches. The one featured on Youtube below looks very impressive & really belts out a strong beam that would knock possums out of trees.

It also has various modes (which is code for battery chewers). Goes from average Joe light to lighthouse bright. Also does strobe & other flashing (including SOS).

Small | Large

They seem amazing but I'm reasonably happy with my Kimberley Kamper torch. It's a simple LED solar torch but a nice quality & available from Kimberley in Ballina or one of their outlets. And I have to say unlike other rechargables that I've owned, this one really does work.

Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

I've also got the Maglite 3D LED as HN online store was selling them cheap for $29 I think. It's a big solid torch with good reach. LED torches have really taken off in the last few years and I've currently got my eye on a Zebralight H600 Head torch that puts out 750 lumens!! I just got to talk the misses into letting me have another torch as I already have 4 head torches but only one head  ;D

BTW, The best range and prices I've seen in Oz for LED torches is http://www.ledtorches.com.au
free delivery too.

Cheers

Great website, very competitive prices. Hopefully they will expand the brands they sell.
