Always be aware that Recommended Retail Price is just that a price recommend by the manufacturer. Very few stores will sell at this as it is an over inflated price so that retailers can say 20, 30 50% off the RRP.
Look at Jewellery stores what they offer in discounts. Unbelievable

In the future you will find more competition from on line sellers who have very little over heads selling a lot cheaper than normal stores. Dont be surprised big retailers doing this more and more.
I am happy to pay a little more so that I can walk into a shop and browse for items and also if I want that item then and there. A good case is 10 metres of 6B&S cable is $140 from a local retailer but online I can get it for $109. It boils down to what you would buy online and what you are happy to pay extra for to walk into a shop.
Another laugh is resorts that quote a rack rate for a room which is so over priced its ridiclous. They never rent a room at that price but will quote a percentage off that rate.
Just remember your time is money and I have seen people spend $20 driving around to save $5.00.
