Hi there
« on: December 01, 2011, 12:06:32 PM »
Been a long time lurker of the forums here, looking at all the info here.  I think I was a member for over a year before I made my first post.

Anyway my name is Calum, people call me Cal, fairly obvious where that nickname comes from.  I am in Canberra, and do a fair bit of camping in my swag around the mountains here, along with fishing in all the lakes around.  In fact probably going to Burrinjuk this weekend if the boss lets me out.

I recently picked up a 2000 GU patrol,  have had it for about a month, its been in the shop for 2 weeks getting a turbo replaced that died after owning the car for 9 days.

Now I am just looking for the right camper to come along.  I think I have convinced my wife to get something from the jayco range.  She is not really into the whole camping thing so I thought that this would be a good compromise and she agreed.  Still means I get to go out and see the country as well.

I know with all new posts there is always a
 :worthles:
so I will post up a pic or 2 of the truck when I get home.  And I will start a thread in the My 4wd section of the build up.  Will be spending a bit on it getting it ready for our trips away.

To Myswag Cal,
That's a bit of a buggar about your Patrol, on a bright side, she should be all good when you get her back.
I had dramas with our Cruiser  >:D when we first got her, very disappointed, not to worry, at lest I know the top end is all good.
Your wife will enjoy a Jayco, Hmm Happy Wife, Happy life LOL
happy and Safe travels.
