Weird Idle Problem

2008 ML Triton Idle Problem....


Alright - so I got my steering column a few weeks ago and ever since I have had the car back when I turn the spotties on the car revs quick (like u tap the pedal quick (50-100rpm increase)) and does it when u wind the windows up and then pull the switches up again to make sure they are closed all the way - hard to explain, but its quite unusual and only done it since they have disconnected the battery or bumped something?. Im unsure what else i can do to emlinate the problem - has anyone else had this sorta thing happen?

Also when the car is in D (drive) the car revs drop when stoped at traffic lights only when the AC is in cycle only noticed this this morning.... maybe its normal and i have never noticed it but quite weird really. Yet when its in P (park) it idles up to compensate. Is the idle thing for the alternator stuffed??

I had something similar happen to my Jeep - It needed about 500 Kms of running so the Engine Computer can start to memorise how you drive etc... Apparently it lost its memory when they disconnected the battery ..
