Hi Rowlie,
You are correct, about movement.
Funny how there are some that tell you,  you have to get on bike, you have to climb stairs, you have to this or that.
From the outset,  the surgeon said, do as your Physo tells you, everyone is different.
I followed the Physo's direction from before the OP, I was driving a week ago, I threw my crutches away after a say, hey it hasn't been easy by any stretch,  but I keep moving.

I also have to state, from the very first time I approached my Dr, a few years ago, and I know things take time. All have been awesome.
From the surgeon to to the hospital staff, nurses.
And it hasn't cost me an upfront cost, we live in the Best country on Earth.
Thank you.

You are doing OK Hairs.

I am 7 years into my right knee and 4 years into the left. On Monday I climbed Mt Coolum with minimal difficulty. They will never be as good as the originals pre arthritic wear but they are a bloody sight better than they were in the 3 to 4 years leading up to the surgery.

In my experience recovery is all about bend and avoiding excess swelling. Its a delicate balance - just when you think you are ready to do more work / lifting / weight bearing etc the swelling tells you it might be a bit soon. The best exercise I found was to put a sock on (yeah I know easier said than done eh) then sit on a step above a smooth floor and slide the foot back to myself. I would mark my progress each day and gradually increase the repetitions. If the swelling increased I cut back but didn't stop.

Keep going mate but don't register for the cricket team this summer.

WTF is going in Victoria?
You can not replace a Gas appliance  with a new one, it has to be electric.
Machete laws, ?
Primary schools telling boys if they want to be girls they can, and now rejecting self defence laws.
Ok, I don't live in Mexico, but it's S$1t.
In NSW, we have a state government  about to ban wood fired heaters and remove local government planning laws, re subdivisions on flood Plains because communities/LGA are knocking back developerment on these areas, yet the state wants developers.
Hmm

Ok, Promise last post about my knee OP.
Yesterday it was 5 weeks ago, I've been off pain killers for nearly a week, even tho thevearly hours of the morning I am still woken up with pain. I rub an intiflamitory cream in and I'm able to go back to sleep.
Putting a sick on, a shoe/boot is difficult, I can't bend the leg over my other knee, although everyday there is more movement.
Yesterday and today I installed a pair of 150mmx3.6M CCA posts gug inti the ground 800mm, 4 bags of concrete mix, for a sail shade I need to have here to keep the dun of my mowers and 80 series.
Even climbed a ladder a few times.
Yeah I know, I'll be in trouble with Fysh when she comes home,
So, now we look forward to using our caravan, more trips with our 4wd Club and Swagging it, making memories.
Get out there Swaggers.
BTW, a big shout out to you guys that encouraged, sent messages and put up with my crap.
Cheers.

This sounds like a great camp!

Unfortunately for me, this time of the year is the busiest we get at work.

So, no go for me.  Enjoy

Nature's Head recommend adding 2.5-3L of water to a full coir peat brick for their composting units.
I've found 2.5L doesn't quite get through the whole brick, but 3L works OK without getting the mix too damp.
I haven't had experience with other units.

Geoff
When you go camping with the GU only, how do you transport the toilet?
Don't shoot me, I have a LC76, but same problem for both wagons.
I have a hard-shell roof top tent so on top is not really an option
Am considering Mission4x4 racks that bolt to the rear door that provide a platform above the twin wheel carrier

Hmm,
We honeymooned on a 250cc Kawasaki, cardboard suitcase on the rack and 2 hand sewn canvas panniers.
Went from Melbourne up through the Snowiest for 2 weeks. We had a small hike tent with basic bushwalking gear .
The lilo was pure luxury!
Cheers

Typed with phat fumbs

Done that. Two motorbikes, wife's Yamaha Fazer and mine Yamaha Thundercat, through France with tent and all.
Great holiday.

Our local council has gone nuts, installing signs everywhere, stating the country is of the local aboriginal communities, we have three in the Clarence Valley.
God only knows what this is costing, but you would hope the installers would put the bottom panel on the right way up.
