Does your Camper Trailer Have a Boat Rack or Pack Rack?
If so, how about posting a few images in this thread to give me and others some ideas on how to make our own DIY Boat Rack or Pack Rack.
I have a Sturt Outback CT. Being a rear fold camper, I'm looking to make a Pack Rack to swing off/away to the driver's side (kitchen, entrance to camper is from passenger side). Intention is to store solar panels and large ice box which doesn't quite fit under the camper or in the back of the 4WD (bummer!).
Images of how your rack swings away, how your gas struts attach to the rack and the camper, and how the rack is fixed/latched when travelling. Some close ups would also be appreciated to get an idea of the detail.

Cheers

This is the Camp-o-matic boat loader, and it slots into two pieces of square tube on the side of the camper.

Gunna, what size boat is it and where do you keep the motor?
Thanks Greg

My young bloke just bought a 4 yr old Tambo with a swing over boat rack
Think he wants to sell the boat rack if anyone wants one, it just slots in to square tube at the base of the trailer, pretty easy mod to fit up

I Made one on our first soft floor camper, the two bars just lifted out of larger square tube welded to the camper, and our Eagle I made some rollers on the rear rack with a roller on the bow of the tinny and this rolled along a steel tube from front to the back of the camper.

It's a 12' Alf Stessyl tinnie and the 15 Hp Mercury goes in the wedge box on the front of the camper on a sliding shelf.

Here is my setup, I can either winch it on if I am feeling lazy  or just throw it on if I am feeling strong ;D ;D

Have been thinking about rigging a mount for a couple of the 'Rhino' type bars, as on the Pod camper.

This is what I built for our Tambo, never seen a boat but it was originally built for one.Its great for chucking fire wood on and also protects the camper.

Can be locked like this picture or vertical(how we normally have it)

Configured to carry dirtbikes right now, but the C channle that holds the bikes can be unbolted and the rack used for boats. EASILY holds 350kg.
