Got torn ligaments in my shoulder/arm joint, not repairable , so to make things a it easier in the car I'm thinking of fitting a steering wheel knob. So has anyone else fitted 1, and just where abouts on the wheel did you place it, top/bottom/side
-
Haven't seen one of those in years.
There was some chat about them on a facebook page a while back.
The ones i ever saw fitted were at the 2 o clock position roughly.
-
One at 2 o'clock and another at 10 o'clock. You can use either hand easier, I reckon.
Are there ADR hurdles to jump?
-
Would be the 10 or 2 position depending which wing was down.

I had one in the past, didn't like it.
But I didn't need it as i thought I would. So I removed it.

The ones of days gone by, were a pretty decent unit.
Geez, just about every cab had one.
The big issue these days would be the quality.
No fun if ya knob falls off trying to make ewe turn.

There are plenty of “steering wheel knobs” out there! ;D

when the Bride did her shoulder we did the same, put the wheel knob where it felt comfortable for until she recovered.
-
I would put it where it feels best for you to operate.
They are legal, many disabled persons usethem, however, if you incapacity is permanent then you will probably need to advise Vicroads and your insurer..
