Title: Picking up a van from Adelaide
Post by: brianvicki on October 06, 2020, 12:11:53 PM
Just seeking your thoughts, we live in Perth and have purchased a caravan in Adelaide. Cost of transporting the van to Perth is around $3.5k, which is a lot of money, so we thought we will be patient and when the borders open up, train the car across, fly across in the red eye, grab car and caravan, and spend a couple of weeks travelling back.

Maybe the borders might be open beginning of November or December.

I have heard of a couple of people gaining an exemption to travel to SA to pic up a van and return without quarantining, not sure if that is true.

What experiences have you heard of ?

Personally i couldnt see exemptions for something as important as buying a van being allowed.

Travelling to SA from WA is easy. Fill out the online paperwork.

Returning into WA you'll need to fill out the G2G application, and if approved, you still will need to isolate for 14 days at home.
