Hi guys,
So my problem is I have found a camper I like (stoney creek ff6) which is a forward fold with rear slide out bed, which I like a lot but I'm concerned about weight especially on sand. Does anyone know of a good family offroader for about 28k that is lighter?
Weights are gym 2.5t with a 160kg ball
Thanks in advance

Wow that is heavy, I looked at a mates Modcon it was 2ton with absolutely everything in it, And I thought that was heavy, 2,5ton man, My old Jayco pop up Van is just under 1ton loaded with fuel and water in it, Id take that any where, Craig

Tare is 1760
ATM is 2200
No big deal in sand if the wheel track matches the tow vehicle.

Depend which sand your planning.
My old camper weighed in at 1.3-1.4 ish, same wheel track and I took it to moreton and Teewah. Moreton I was lucky as it rained the days before. I don’t reckon Moreton would be fun when it’s dry.
Wheel track is all good until you need to turn....
Most camper trailer look heavy and probably heavy.
Family of five (three teenagers), five mountain bikes I thought we did pretty good keeping my home make Camper at 1.4T
