Title: Cairns Mechanic Recommendations

Can any locals give a recommendation for a mechanic or inspection station/facility.
My son lives in Cairns & is looking to buy a car & being a musician he knows sfa about cars & value. He thinks he'll be safer going through a dealer, but if he can find a good private deal then he will need somewhere to get it checked out.
Just need somewhere that's thorough & give an honest assessment.

          Id suggest you try Gavins Mobile Auto Care ( www.gavinsmobileautocare.com.au (http://www.gavinsmobileautocare.com.au).)
Hes an all round good guy - Ive used him over the years on cars, utes and the camper trailer. His rates are reasonable and he offers mobile and workshop services.
He does get a bit booked up at times but he's always helped me out.

Hi Goshen, RACQ Garages used to one the best to get an inspection done on a 4wd or car, but not cheap, your son may have to join to get a bit of a discount, Craig
