We are a a family of four ( kids are 6 and 1 and a bit ) which are starting to plan a 6 week trip from Toowoomba to Cairns region and back around June we have a rough idea of what we want to see but would really like some suggestions on what is worth seeing and camp grounds worth visiting along the way. We have a Stoney Creek ff6 behind bt50.

Couple of days out from Innisfail at Etty Bay, nice / quiet use it as a base to check out the area ..Fishing / a trip out to the Reef / Mourylian harbour sugar terminal, Maybe see if its possible to get a tour around the terminal and onto a ship ..Never know unless you ask

If near miles a stay at possum park for a night would be good. Old plane and train wagons made into accommodation

Hi Let560, A few things our mob have loved doing and seeing when going north, Krombit tops Np and see the plane wreck and area , Rocky and the Capricorn caves and the big hill lookout, and Emupark then up to five rocks, Stanage bay, Mackay and its hinterland up at Eungella, Bowen and its northern beaches, Cardwell area, Paronella park, the Sky rail ride and the train ride up to Kuranda, The Atherton tablelands , the drive along the coast north of Port Douglas, the drive up through the daintree to Ayton and the free camp at The mouth of the bloomfield river, Archer point free camp, Cooktown is nice, Just a few, Craig
