Haven't used the ramp at Roys for a while and was wondering if I have to now use the new, big overpass on Bells Road for access to Roys Road from the Bruce, coming from the South?
Cheers
Steve

Yes I believe so
-
Yep, can confirm you do :D
-
Yep.
And the turn off is just down from the overpass, national park and boat ramp are clearly signed at the turnoff.

Question regarding that part of the World, that you might know, Pete ???
When we were up at Coochin Creek earlier this year, we went up the Hwy to Caloundra a couple of times.
Sort of half way between Bells Rd & the Aussie Pub (which isn't any more :'(), there's a paddock off to the left hand side with a sign:
"Danger. No public access. Police only"
Only appears to be an open paddock ???
Any idea what it's about ???
-
Thanks, everyone, for the info. Going to try for a Jack or two while drowning some crab bait ;D

I've wondered about that sign many times myself...???
Just figured it was the access road into the coppers dope crop. :police:
They gotta make some cash somehow, apparently they don't make any money from all of those speed cameras they hide in along that stretch of road...

Could be Daniel Morcombe related, there were numerouse related crime scenes all around that area.

Could be I suppose, & somebody just forgot to take the sign down ???
Although you'd think there were enough :police: driving past every day, for somebody to go back to the station & say "Hey, sarge ..." ???
-
It could be crime scene related, though I remember it appearing maybe 4 or 5 months ago??
Not sure on that exactly, but it's not like it's been there for years anyway.
I still recon they've got a big crop in there...... >:D
-
I was under the impression the police use that area drive to the top of the little hill which enables them to look down at drivers using phones or speeding.
From the higher advantage point they can take photos and issue fines in the mail.

We were there first week of July.
& I'm not saying your other theory is impossible! >:D

Looks like they've either finished their harvest and got the crop off, or they know we're on to 'em.
The sign was gone yesterday afternoon..... ;)

See - I've mentioned it before & now it's been proven - there are :police: Swaggers & they talk to their mates ... ;D
