Title: Good news for Alvey reel lovers
Post by: Bigfish on April 20, 2018, 06:18:30 PM
Century-old Queensland business Alvey Reels, which announced it would close its doors in mid-2017 due to poor sales, will stay open after a viral Facebook post spurred a flurry of orders from loyal customers, and attracted a new business partner.

I can remember as a kid using them to fish for blackfish in the King Parrot Ck near Flowerdale, Vic.  Great memories.

Great news my first fishing reel was a alvey, was so easy to use and caught alot of flathead with it. Still have it here for my son to get some use out of it
