Title: Does anyone have an LG OLED TV?
Post by: rockrat on December 17, 2017, 05:51:53 PM
I'm looking at upgrading the old plasma TV to a new 55" LG OLED TV and looking for opinions from those that already have one.  Are they worth the extra $?

What do you use for sound, a soundbar or a full home theatre system? I have a Pioneer receiver and speakers but really like the sound (and simplicity) of the Bose system so might look at one of those at the same time.

Hi Rockrat

A friend has the LG OLED, Great picture. I'll be getting one as soon as the minister for finance releases the funds, so I'm not holding my breath. As far as sound go's have a listen to as many different sound systems as you can. if you like the sound from Bose then get that.

I have the new 2017 oled LG. Our new Samsung was rubbish with problems and was taken back. Replaced it with the LG.. sooo much better.

Picture quality is awesome and I previously had the Samsung UHD topend tv but it was broken, which what I’ve heard they have had lots of problems.

The LG also has the new 4K Apple TV, and watching a full 4K movie is fantastic. Even thinking about changing the bedroom Samsung with an LG, I much prefer the LG webtv guide as well so much faster.

I should have mentioned we have a Klipsch so7nd bar and sub woofer connected via the Bluetooth sync. Works a treat and fantastic environment. I used to have projector and dedicated home theatre but now the LG replacement is perfect. Very happy with it all.

Yes. 930T. Stunning picture with a very wide viewing angle.

Sound is ok so only turn on the surround when watching a movie.
