Title: Palm Cove NQ
Post by: broncos11 on November 05, 2017, 02:37:51 PM
Hi Guys

Looking for advice from our NQ members regarding accommodations suggestions for next Easter up at Palm Cove that will allow me to park 5.5m boat safely??
Appreciate any advice.May look at tenting at van Park to keep costs down, but wife thinking we might go upmarket a bit this time as our tents are getting a bit "long in the tooth"

If you book in early enough at one of the resorts they will be able to help you out.  Book early...its a very popular (and expensive) place.   Does the vamn park have cabins? Maybe pay extra for another car space.

Yep struggling to get anywhere that will allow some sort of security parking for the boat. Van park only has powered or unpowered sites

Double island. Leave it on a mooring. You’ll definitely tick off the ‘wife/upmarket’ portion. I don’t know what current rates are but it was next level good when we stayed there in 2000 as part of our honeymoon.

Nice but our friends driving up from Kingscliff who've booked in the van park might not approve!!

Buy a new tent , get some flash chairs and new camping gear and book 2 sites next to each other. One for your boat and one for your tent. Still cheaper and I reckon more enjoyable than staying in an apartment . Treat the missus to a couple of good nights out at restaurants, some good vino and some good tours.
