Yes, another bad day for society when somebody does not return home, just for doing his daily duty.

A brother in blue mate. A truly genuinely good bloke with a lovely wife, also a serving officer, and three young children. A very sad day.

Saw the news yesterday. ****ing shattering, condolences to all.
-
A big article in our paper today about it - very sad! Thinking of you KB.
-
Bugger of a way to go. He was only doing his job :(
-
Having recently retired from the COPS after 32 years (not QLD) when I hear of these things it makes me ill.
I'm told the police smashed their car during chase and then this Shitbag came back and executed the poor bloke.
I'll tell you one thing. If there is ever a call for capital punishment- then this is it.

News just advised this dirtbag shot by police, best result possible.

Condolences to Brett, you KB and both your families and friends, terrible tragedy.
Baz.

Thinking of you and all Qld Police at this difficult time. While I may have retired from the 'force' some 8 years ago the grief of an incident such as this still gets to me.
Thank you to all who still do this often thankless job.
-
Thank you all. Your kindness is humbling.
Today has been pretty low for so many people. Time will help.

Thoughts are with you KB.

Sorry to hear.. Glad they shot the piece of scum. should be more of it.
-
So very sad to hear a bloke just doing his job, all the best mate, and heart felt condolences to his family. At least the scum bag will do no more harm,
-
There ya go KB.
Saved 2-5 years of preparing evidence for Court.
Saved the cost of housing feeding and occupying this blokes attention span.
Coroner will have an interest in what went on and have his own recommendations and decisions to make.
Didn't save the survivors from the horrible event though.
Hope they can see a way past this soon.

Statement of the year. My wife is a senior constable and this stuff rings true to my ears every day she goes to work - could have been her or anyone else.
-
 KB B. It was a terrible thing.
-
Very sorry for the loss of a quality life.
Thank you to the QPS for the job they do every day on our behalf.
-
Sincere condolences to Brett's family, friends and colleagues. A very sad thing to happen, and something that must go through every police officers' mind at some time or other.
Thanks to all the police who put their life on the line, every day, to help keep us safe. And thoughts to the officer/officers who shot the b*stard, it would be very difficult for them as well.
-
Blessed are the peace makers KB, and the retired ones Brother.
-
KB,
The thin blue line got a little thinner, but we stand shoulder to shoulder to honour him.
Condolences mate.

Many years ago I worked at Brisbane Traffic Branch with Brett's Dad. My thoughts to all of Brett's family
-
Thank you all.
Brett's funeral is next Wednesday at 11am. It will be huge, and painful.
The amount of flowers and cards arriving at the station is amazing. The whole community is grieving.
Again today I had the opportunity to shake the hand of another mate who dragged Brett out of his rolled vehicle whilst under automatic fire. I first shook his hand on Monday night and held a towel whilst he washed away Brett's blood. There were many heroes that day.

We take a lot for granted, most only really think about what our police do at times like this.
To all the boys in blue, thank you. Without you the cockroaches of society would flourish.
KB I hope in time the pain will ease, and your fond memories of Brett flourish.

Well said Glen, it couldn't be put better. Condolences to all family & friends at this terrible time
-
Condolences KB, and to his family/force in general :(. It's never a good thing when a loss like that happens - unfortunately have lost two cousins now to a$$$hole scumbags who would be better off as compost than in jail :(
-
Thanks again for the kind wishes.
Brett's family are slowly healing, although the process will take years, through the huge outpouring of sympathy from the community.

Police making collections at each station. All doing what they can, small though the recompense will seem, at least it may allay certain life pressures at the most awkward of times. My wife put ours in today.
-
Thanks mate :cup:
-
After coming out of the bush yesterday and hearing of this tragedy and then today hearing Brett's wife was heckled by supporters of the POS makes my blood boil.
Condolences to you KB, and to Brett's family and his work mates. To those who stopped the POS from his murderous pursuit, thank you, I hope it doesn't take a toll.
To those heading off to work the TBL stay safe.
Tim

Thanks Tim. Stay safe mate.
