HELP! Our Primus 12V fridge has started showing anE3 error and is not working. We are about to leave on a big trip and need this fridge. Anyone know any good repairers in Perth?? I haven't found any in an internet search. I am getting a little stressed here! We leave in 4 days!!

E3 codes are usually triggered from insufficient power supply
Check your system first.
edit: most of these joints do more than engel.

Dometic Service Agents are usually the ones to take Coleman, Primus, Finch etc. too.

Can you PM me his number?
E1 is the low voltage code, this is throwing it while on 240V / 12V (13.2V) and is apparently a compressor motor failure code or something similar.

They said that they used to do them but the electronics are all different and the manufacturers were hard to deal with apparently!

The cranky old bugga that did the Engels and Wacos at Lyons works for himself now somewhere in Kenwick. Maybe give Lyons a ring and they will give you his number.... might be able to help

That's disappointing. It would be interesting to see what you have found out as to where the best 12v fridge repairer is in Perth.

Ok so the compressor makes a nasty clunking sound of death before E3ing ... will need a replacement compressor. Unlikely we will get one before we leave so am working a backup plan. Will call Primus on Monday to see what they can do.

Different line of thinking.
Aldi have their fridges on sale this week.
Might be cheaper to buy one of them than get it fixed. Worry about it when you get back.

That has been suggested!!! :) Think I have a better alternative, but I'm still hoping to go the original fridge fixed!

Cannot for the life of me remember name of the place but right onto Guildford rd from Tonkin hwy (north)
always lit up with LED tail lights and stuff
maybe 100 metres past the servo on RHS.
They repaired my primus in 2012 after the motherboard fried itself on the CSR.
Great service and good to deal with.
Pretty vague but hopefully helps
Cheers
