Gday all
I want to fit a small (2×2m) awning to my homemade teardrop.
I know i can get the sail track from various places but where is the best place to get the actual awning to slide into the sail track?

Go see an upholsterer, either take them a HD poly tarp and have them sew some Keder track edging onto it or get them to make one up .
Most charge roughly +- $100 an hour for labour.

If you are happy for just shade and not rain proof you can buy off the shelf coast to coast brand from most retailers. They sell them as awning walls but would work in this instance.

Give these guys a go. I have a couple of their tarps with sail track rope. Very impressed with their product and service.

Have a awning side wall which goes in a sail track. Waterproof and light.
2.5 wide by 2.9.
It is a bit bigger than you were looking for.
Cost about $30 depending on the deal, or today they have special $50 with "free" delivery.

Oztrail make a 2m side wall with a sail track.

Thanks for the info everyone.
Some good options there.
Think I'll give "Australia outback bush gear" a try as i always try and buy local & he is only about 5ks from me.

I have a 4wd superstore side wall that I sewed together for a lightweight awning on our camper trailer. It works great. Was concerned with the quality but it has now done two trips and been through a lot of wind in our setup and works great. As Jones said they cost about $40-50 delivered.

Ended up getting one made up by Bob Burrage. Was more than i originally wanted to pay but is quality & if i get rid of the camper it can be adapted to my next design.
Bob gave me the option of getting one made up from a cheap bunnings tarp but i went for the quality.
Top service from a genuine bloke as well.
