Title: Anyone Lived in Roxby Downs before?

Hi all, considering applying for a job at Olymic Dam which would require a move to Roxby. Anyone here live or previously lived there? Just wondering what the town and community are like of there. Im no stranger to living remote (currently in Tom Price) so that bit dosent faze us in the slightest and we prefer it to living in the cities anyway. I figure it would be an excelent location for people like us (by that I mean people who like to get their campers and 4wd out and see this awesome country of ours) as its relativly central and would open up quite a bit of travel oppurtunities for us.

I lived there for 2 years (worked at the school).


Wasn't a bad place to live. Lots of amenities including gym, pool, cinema, large supermarket, newsagent, hospital etc.


I remember it a bit like a mini suburb of Adelaide.


The drive to Adelaide did get a bit tiresome after awhile.
