Title: Tool and Repair Kit
Post by: InMused on December 29, 2016, 02:41:14 AM

Gearing up for a 11 day trip to the Victorian High Country (Australia). This kit is specific to my vehicle, camping gear and skill level.

Socket Set:
I consider a 3/8 socket set as intermediate in size. Weight is an issue for me so I leave my 1/4 and 1/2 sets at home.

Tool Roll:
The quietest way to travel with tools. I find the roll also looks after the tools.

Repair kit:

Missing: JB Weld, Loctite, Nuts and Bolts (assorted), Hose clamps, Fuel filter.

Looks good. I always carry a tube of roof & gutter silicone. Has many short term repair uses for vehicle and camp kit.

Good idea.  I have a tube of Sika Vehicle sealant.  Might come in handy.

I carry a crow bar in the camper. It's surprising how often it gets used.

For those 'quiet' nights at Sheepyard Flat :)

I have a set of 3 crowbars - courtesy of Aldi -- They appear every now and then - nice yellow handles on them .. Very handy units.

It is a well known fact that travelling with metric Allen keys makes every socket you ever need to work on turn into imperial.

On a Land Rover?

I have just realised that I have doubled up on the Allen Keys.
