Title: Computer Issue
Post by: JCAT on November 25, 2016, 06:10:58 PM
One for the computing Swaggers.

I have a couple of month old Laptop which I mainly use to run Zwift which is an indoor cycling trainer.

Anyway it has worked great until today when I went to play a DVD and it is playing extremely enlarged and pixelated. This is the case when trying to play videos on Youtube through Internet Explorer or whatever its now called and even DVD's on the default video player PowerDVD12.

BUT when I go in through Googe Chrome and go to Youtube everything works as it should.

The only changes I have made recently are as follows.

I installed Adobe Reader so I could read PDF's this week and I tried to copy a DVD home movie of my daughters Deb Ball. That wouldn't work so I copied all the files off the DVD to the Hard Drive and then tried to convert those VOB files to MPEG by changing the file extension, which is when I first became aware of the issue.

Any suggestions about how I get the resolution back to where it should be.

Bit more info.

When I go to the Youtube home page the little video screens of uploaded videos display as they should but as soon as I press play it distorts and becomes huge and pixelated.

Ditch internet Explorer and install Firefox for a starter. If you really must use W/E which I don't recommend do an uninstall then reinstall.

It sounds like a file in I E has been corrupted, probably during an up date, to me.

Your using Windows 10?
http://refreshyourcache.com/en/internet-explorer-11/ (http://refreshyourcache.com/en/internet-explorer-11/)

I've noticed more sites not working with IE11 lately - EG: catch of the day.. but sounds like your using EDGE.. Which is pure faeces...
Click the start globe and type Internet Explorer

Your using Windows 7?

I'd rather be pack raped by the harlem globe trotters than use Chrome, its just Shit.

On the browser side Waterfox 64 & 32 bit.  What Firefox used to be before they wrecked it.  And it will run outdated apps and programs.

If you're using Win!0 stick with Microsoft's Edge browser and you might have to play around with screen resolution settings or simply the zoom setting, bearing in mind no matter what browser you use sometimes a web page, video, etc just isn't compatible as the pace of change gets ahead of of us all and the software/webpage writers struggle to keep up-

and you're not the only one-
