Post by: franP on October 16, 2016, 10:48:35 PM
Hi,does anyone have information on the new Rhinomax Discovery hybrid. We have been to a couple of camping shows and had a look at the discovery and the crossover xl  Would be grateful for any thoughts regarding these campers.

Can't comment on the discovery but back in April we camped next to one of the owners at 1770 who was giving one of the hybrids a run by memory it was only about 10 foot long. I think his name was Andy. Seemed like a really nice bloke chatted over a few beers. The hybrid seemed rather well built and from what he was telling me about the price I'd reckon they'd be right in the market.

Met an owner of a Discovery in Broome in July.
He had a few issues at first, main one was with wheel alignment when he first got it.
It was eventually sorted and he was happy with build quality.

Cheers Glen

The Discovery was on our list of ones to look at when we were investigating.
We liked the build quality, and the internal layout.
We didn't like the kitchen layout, and the fact that they make their own suspension.

Their price was good but since then, their price has gone up quite a bit and put them into the price comparison of others that have more hard and soft 'features' for not a lot of extra money.

I suggest you Message MCGIRR who has seen one at at the top end and spoke to the owner.

Heading says Rhinomax, but you ask for info on Crossover XL.
We have a Crossover Xl and have loved everything about it. It is small enough to tow easily, yet large enough to have comfortable space inside when needed. Build quality is second to none, and after sales service is top class. We looked at various hybrids (Tvan, Topaz, Lifestyle, KK, Eclipse, Exodus), but found that the XL had the features we wanted.
If you want more I can go on for ages about how good they are if you like.

The OP mentions both in their introduction
