Title: Mackay Swaggers Catch Up
Post by: broncos11 on October 06, 2016, 10:06:03 AM
Thought I'd put up a thread to garnish interest for Mackay members to catch up for a beer and chat about organising a future weekend away fishing/socialising/relaxing somewhere close around Mackay. So I'm putting up a quiet get together at the Shamrock on Saturday 15th at 4:00pm.
Here's a few options we can talk about:
Midge Point
Cape Hillsborough
Cape Palmerston
Carmilla Beach
Kinchant Dam
Conway Beach
Smalleys Beach
St Helens
Seaforth area
etc etc

Let me know who's interested
Dave

Mate would've been there for sure , but will be trying the new camper out at Seaforth.
If you get some takers might i suggest a xmas get together  (similar to the nq one) at perhaps eungella  (dam or campground or there is even a park at the top of the range which looks back towards coast.) Or even notch point, i know tracker goes there a bit
Anyway keep us posted

Great stuff Dave...will look into being at the Shamrock on that date....Conway tweaks my interest ...but would have to work in with the tides....bookings are hard to get when the tides work in with the weekend....but this is only one idea.... Lets just wait to see how many Swaggers in this part of the country have any interest.

                        Cheers Tracker.

Have no idea what Conway is like now but, from personal experience in the early '80, the beach was oh, so dangerous to drive on. Probably can't drive on it now!
And Dave, thanks for waiting until I'd left town for this

No mate.
Son's playing seniors cricket in arvo after his junior game is over and I hear they may be short so I'll probably end up there instead.

Probably better to just make arrangements to suit yourself & then put it out there for others to join (you know "build it & they will come").

I'm hoping to get up to eungella before xmas, but am dependent on work, plus am presently working on getting a major shed floor epoxy job & if i get the go ahead it will be all hands on deck for me for a while.

Even a weekend at Seaforth would be ok
