Just got a T-Rex as well as My driveway is a snake bend, getting the Van through the gates is the easy part but then only about 1inch clearance from the car fenders on a good day…This should make It very easy , will report after my first tryout ???

This is another supplier that has a great range of heavy duty Van Movers but at a cost, worth a look as your van is a bit bigger now :-(
I'm still after a Toy Hauler but this years GST has set me back another year so hopefully next year :-)

Not sure if they show up at the Northern C'van & Camping shows.
There's a Company selling kits that fit Electric drives to each side of a caravan/camper and are controlled wirelessly like a remote control car.
You can park the van/camper without any real effort.
And you can still tow the Caravan/Camper as you would normally.

Hi Gravity,
Have you tried it out yet? I just managed to completely fail backing the new Breakaway into the garage. Its a metre too long to back in past the fence line and there's a bend the car cant negotiate and a slight uphill slope so you would need a few more than 2 extra hands to push it.
I sat up last night for hours doing some research, reading other posts but cant find a definitive comment on whether these will work uphill. or at all really? Don't care at all about the speed.

It has a 5degree uphill limit.

I have the same thing, different brand. My driveway would be 5 or a little more and although it slows a little it does it no problem. Ball weight would be critical here - one of the few upsides of having over 200 kg of it I suppose. My life has definitely become better with an electric jockey wheel. Doubt I'll ever take it on the road though.

Sorry no chance yet but did watch a u tube vid on Facebook the T-Rex was no where near as loud as the vid just posted and easily went up 5d, I've yet to install an Anderson plug to the end of the supplied power lead.

It might very well be perfect for me to wiggle my camper into my garage. I have an uphill section to lead into garage itself, but its only short. And Swan Outback weighs 1700kg or so loaded so well below the 3,500kg limit for it. :cheers:

I've seen them a little cheaper by $50 or so but not sure about the quality, the T-rex did have good reviews and at $330 it's well worth the punt…
If you order one remember it doesn't come with an Anderson plug, do you have an external Anderson power lead to your battery from the A-Frame… if not you will also need to get one fitted. :cheers:

I just measured the driveway up and it's got a 7 degree slope. Approximately.
I also thought to myself "everything about the new Breakaway is better than the previous camper" .. I wonder if that means, despite being 2mtrs longer, it's ALSO better to back? Took me 15 minutes of fine fiddling but I did manage to get it into the garage JUST to the point where the wheels hit the flat. So my other half and I could simply push it in. AND it's heavier than the other camper but it rolls nicer too .. or maybe it's just our imagination and positive vibes ..
So I may buy a 12V wheel but it's now a lower priority .. after the hitch change (it tows low) and the new fridge.

I bought one of the noisey ones .... To move my caravan uphill on a gravel ( firm gravel ) drive we need to put a board down to get it uphill onto a paved section .
But the van only fits in just , the problem was my assistant and I couldn't push it uphill .
The mover works fine , but our van is only 1350kg and 115 on ball . Drive way is maybe 5-7 % . We only move it 20-30 feet .
Worth the investment sat it saves the neighbours from hearing my creative sentence construction !
