Title: 79 series drowned near Kevington
Post by: Bird on July 17, 2016, 08:41:29 PM
Anyone else see the 79 that was completely submerged near the pub on Friday..
The river was FLOWING and you could see it was strong...

Publican said 2 chicks came running in around 5 on Friday sayin call cops/etc...
it took 3-4 hours to recover it..

Apparently they attempted to cross (cant remember track name), but it was stronger than they thought.

Its now sitting at Scottys recovery place in Jamieson on the tilt tray still loaded with camping gear.

She'll be right. Toyrota's don't drown. They come back stronger.(http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160717/4d84d7e67b8ea32983659157511e5116.jpg)

I can only think of the $2/3000 odd Scotty charges for the recovery. I'd rather spend that on mods and be careful. Still feel sorry for them though. What a waste of a good V8
