Title: Towing a FF camper

Just like to know who out there has a forward fold camper, what they are towing with and how they find it?

  I tow an Ecomate forward fold with a BT50....Have been to the tip and back....Never had a problem

My query is why would a forward fold tow any different to a rear fold or even a hybrid, its all contained in the same area when folded up.

It's often said FF are on the heavy side of things that's all.

I Tow a Black Series Patron with Landrover Discovery, Ball weight about 220kg tows great! Air suspension helps though.

I have a Broadwater FF. I tow with a Challenger and a Pootrol.  No  problems. On road, off road, beach etc.
She's fine.

Corndog,

We had a Modcon FF, there were no real trouble However, if you have a look at the pic above, you will see that they are longer from the front of the drawbar [and the rear tyres on the tug] to their wheels meaning that there is potential for getting "hung up". Especially with bits hanging down like steps & stabilizer legs. This can also lead to the Ball Weight being higher, putting extra strain on the tug's suspension.

That said, we didn't have any issues... personally the best thing with FF's is that "If you can park it, you can sleep in it".
