Gday everyone, She who must be obeyed has decided that a camper trailer is something she would like. We have not had one before and are not really sure which way to go, we are a family of 4, two boys 3 and 6. She wants something easy to put up so she can disappear when im away for work but a hard floor just doesn't have the room we most likely need. We have a budget of $10000 and are looking at soft floor imports from Mars, MDC, and ezytrail. Not really interested in secondhand and don't have an issue with modding/improving as we go. thanks for letting me join and now the research begins!?!?

Welcome aboard Have you considered Preloved CTs . Lots more bag for your buck with mods all done . Keep an eye out if a catchup is happening , get there & see rigs set up , then explained . You will learn lots

We went out today and checked out MDC, Black Series and Ezy Trail. So far the MDC seems to be the top of the list. We like the T-Box Elite.

I agree the soft floor is better for families than the hardfloor. I have an imported hardfloor that I am happy with so understand why you are looking at those brands for a new CT but.....
You should seriously consider a 2nd hand CT. if it is a matter of hygiene, throw out the mattress, buy a new one and disinfect everything else.
There are so many 2nd hand bargains around with hardly used CT's, with great mods to kitchen, electrics, suspension etc that sometimes include bonuses like generators, batteries, gas bottles, solar panels, fridges etc.
$10k would buy an awesome 2nd hand CT at near new condition with a lot of mods and a lot of extras. Have a look on gumtree and inspect a few before you make up ur mind to buy new. If you still want new after looking at the others, well fair enough, at least have a look.
Good luck with ur purchase
