Title: Has anyone experienced 3xm fleet series canopies or service body?
Post by: cyberess on April 18, 2016, 03:43:33 PM
Has anyone had any experience with 3XM  in Geebung Qld, or use or know the quality of the 3XM Fleet Series as mounted on a flat tray?

I have only seen these from a distance, but I do like the way that they have a flat floor, and the pricing seems O.K. but I would really like to know

I am thinking of one without any glass or windows.

Not specifically answering your question about 3XM but addressing the question about dust sealing, do you really need the rear door?  Rear doors on canopies seem to be there main issue for dust ingress, not to say the side doors may have minor sealing issues.

Same as Supersi, I'm not actually answering your question either, but my father inlaw has this brand canopy in a different model on his Colorado. He was warned by several work mates to steer clear of that brand but bought it anyway & has regretted it ever since. From what I can gather, it's shaking to pieces although I can't understand why, as his car gets babied more than we do our kids.

Hi Listo

What sort of canopy was that, that your father inlaw had?

Was it a canopy on a tub style?  That are usually very difficult to seal drop down gate of the tub

Or a style that sits on top of a tray with it's sites up? (I don't know anything about this style)

The different styles of canopies would certainly give different results.

G'day Cyberess,
It's on a tub & looks pretty close to the top one. I don't know a lot about hard canopies, so hopefully the different model serves you well.

I don't know if it will serve me well, or if ever  :)  just trying to get feed back

There is also the AWL canopies as well

I'm also curious about these 3xm canopies.  It's one of a handful of options I'm considering for my amarok.

I've been reluctant to consider permanently mounted canopies because I'd prefer to have the ute tray by itself on occasion ... however the 3xm fleet series now has a jackoff option (no idea on cost yet - probably not cheap) and also they say "EASY BOLT DOWN - EASILY REMOVED" on their ebay ad, separate to the jackoff capability.

So I'm curious how difficult these things are to unbolt and lift off.
Also wondering how the frame works if you are bolting to an existing tray ... can't see in the photos (I think all the photos are with an integrated floor option).
