I am looking to but one of these caps , as you can see I put a hand pump on the water jerry..very cool idea I saw on here ..prob is I dont want it there for travelling so i need another cap ..
I did the rounds today and got some weird looks when i asked about spare caps.
Surely you can buy a cap ..right ;D ;D ;D

Go to your local car wash and ask the attendant if they have any of the old bottles that they get the car wash etc in. Should fit fine......my local one sells the old bottles for a couple of bucks each, so if you want me to go a grab you one I can.

I can get you a couple off old drums at work if you like. They are from oil/degreaser drums though so would need a good wash, but I wouldn't have concerns using it. I'm northside Brisbane too.

Iv got a few of those blue cans for sale, were my olds cans from their camping days, only had water in them, grabed a lid for myself in preperation to do same.

My mate owns a trucking company and they use 100;s of drums each week ..for some stupid resaon i thought it would be some special sort of cap but now as you have rightly pointed oyt and drum cap will suffice.

Your mate should be able to help, ok.
Next time have a look in an Aussie disposals store.
They normally have both the cap and the screw in plug as well as the taps.

would you really trust what ever residue would be left on the cap no matter how much you washed it though.
