Title: How much stuff do you pack in your front storage box?
Post by: Shaun99 on March 30, 2016, 01:10:26 AM

Swaggers,

Out of interest how much stuff do you pack in the front storage box of your trailer?

Do you need more storage space?

How big is your box (storage box only)?

 :worthles:

I reckon it's not the amount but the weight that matters.

Ours is an Alloy Gull Wing Box,  1100 x 1800 x 650, in it  we have 1 x 40l Engel, 1 x 75l Engel Combi, Pots and Pans box, Food box, Odds & Sods Bag and a First Aid kit. All up it's about 200kg on the ball but tows brilliantly !!

Does it need to be bigger   ???
No........It's big enough  ;D  other wise I'd be tempted to take even more crap  ::)   lol

Cheers

Weight is the key to what goes into the front boot and A frame of the van...

Apart from the 90ltr fridge and 2 x AGMs; 2 x LPGs and 2 x Jerrys -- the rest of the stuff I put in is lightweight things such as pop-up bins; mats; tarps; chocks; brollys; 56v chainsaw; 30mtr lead; etc...   Hopefully that lot only adds up to about 30kgs....

No Pigs; BBQs; air-con plant; generator; etc....     :)

Gday Shaun,
Haven't got the measurements but ours is big enough to hold the 40 litre Engel which we use as a freezer, spare 4.5 kilo gas bottle, axe and shovel, annexe for the camper and a couple of lightweight stools/steps.
Not sure of the ball weight but the camper tows well

Cheers Darryl
