I am currently looking at options for what to get to blow away dust from hatch edges, camper tops etc, on those dusty trips, before you setup.
Am interested in something that is 12v rechargeable and has sufficient air flow to blow dust away.
I also have a 12v tyre compressor, but not air tank.
So interested to understand what others use or have used.
Thanks
MarkVS.

18v cordless blower. Also comes in handy for blowing leaves off the roof of the camper at pack up.

I found a dust pan an broom, or a soft household broom worked best, a blower only removes the lose dust. Plus a broom doubles up for the inside. Using a blower on sand inside a camper or van wouldn't really achieve a good out come.

I use an air compressor with a 9lt storage tank.

I just use a broom, it fits in my pole storage box and use it for sweeping out annex floor as well.

I agree.....i feel you don't need another gadget to fail.... or worry about charging !!

We use the two compressors in the Cruiser via two air tanks to blow out if needed, but the dust has to be really bad to make me want to do it.

Obviously you lot missed the "?" at the end.
I couldn't think of anything else apart from a Broom, brush and pan, or a rag that would do the job.
Blowers, as said, only do part of the job. You still have to go round a second time and wipe it/brush it off.
And it doesn't clean it all out anyway. Your either in a hurry, got the missus on your back, or something else has happened.
There's always some dust somewhere.
Just like when you "shammy" the car and then take it for a drive/blow dry.
You don't get all the water with the "shammy" first time round, never happens.
-
Personally, I prefer not to get mine dirty or dusty, but some times you cant help it when the're doing roadworks on the highway. When that happens, usually the Big4 I'm staying at has a wash bay, or at least a hose available so I can give it a wash and polish before I set up my rig..........................
Whoops...sorry, I'm on the wrong site..................................back to caravaners forum I go ;D

You sound like me, I never heard anyone else takes their car for a drive to dry it after a wash, even after a chamois. I also swerve around during that drive to "shake" off the water...........

Shit yeah ... I never leave home without a blower either 2S or a batt powered one when doing remote trips
If you have done a hub change on a dirt track you will very quickly appreciate a blower of done description .

A blower would have been handy with the TrakShak, as dust would gather on top of the tail gate and some would fall onto the kitchen when it was opened.
Never had the need with the Coota, as there's nowhere for the dust to gather and cause issues.
If I was going to take one, it'd be one of these.....

Haha, can you imagine sitting in a nice quiet bush camp somewhere, another camper pulls up, and suddenly you hear the whine of a lawn blower crank up....
I'd get the shotty out.. >:D

It only takes about 60sec to blow the dust off the camper, I do it before I pull into the actual camp spot if there are other campers as dust might then get blown in their direction which is not very nice.
If after that someone pulled a shotty out, I hope their prepared to use it..be pretty embarrassing getting bashed with ya own gun..guns scare 3/4 of the population the other 1/4 would see it as a green light if someone pulled a gun out..nothing better then someone pulling a weapon out in an argument..9 outta 10 they arent that proficient with it as if they were you would not see it till you felt it and always good to be authorized to go full tilt in a world full of controls.
If you were being tongue in check .. it would be hard to take a shot with dust in ya face from the blower ;D
I,ll take and use my blower, you can do whatever you feel the need to do when it happens if we are camped at the same spot ;D ;D ;D ;D Blower V shotgun I,m all fueled up ;D ;D ;D
