I have nothing against Toyotas. I have owned them in the past and will no doubt own them again in the future but I find many Toyota owners to be a bit like many Apple users.  It is the best because it's a Toyota or an Apple. No amount of detractors or deficiency will ever be considered. Not saying either is bad just that they aren't always the best although were at a point a long time ago in a far away place (relative to their respective industry)

I think that is true for most brand evangelists. Doesn't matter which brand really.

Yeah it's because I updated my email and password. You have to wait for a verification email before you can log back in..

Yep, they are very very very strict with their rules.
One mistake and you are in the naughty corner.

It's great for info on Cruzas but not so for a chat. Very very strict rules.

haha holy cow you lads sure took that and ran with it haha, so many replies.

yes they are crazy strict on their rules, that's why I'm more just a lurker and very rarely post incase I get in trouble. but there is so much info there, if you own a Cruiser you really need to be on there.

Troopy, I got mine working again thanks to an Admin there, and then when I tried to change my password and email to update them I got the same response as you and couldn't login again. I managed to fix it by clicking on the forgot my password link, and then use the new updated email you just updated to, and your username, and it will send you an email instantly and you should be able to click on the link in the email. let me know if that works for you.

oh and about the Apple comment, I steer well clear of Apple these days, and I changed from Patrol to Cruiser so I'm a bit backwards

Ta mate, I'll give it a go.
Edit: Haha, I just got an email on my old addy from one of the admins there. He unblocked mine and I can log in with my new password. He said to tell you they are still working on their registration database, and he'll let you know when it is resolved. I didn't say you have already got back in LOL.

And never mention pre '85 landcruisers. The BJ40/42/45's don't count as Landcruisers apparently ???

... and thats why what seems like a good idea in a pub, can get way out of hand.

Yes they have strict rules and try to keep threads relevant.  For that site that is a good thing.   I wish they would be even more strict when you are trying to get the latest info on a particular subject, some are way too long.  It is a brilliant web site and like this one it is free to join.   Kevin

I think just about every forum has their fair share of arrogant, condescending posters, and I haven't found LCOOL to be any worse than some I'm on. Maybe it is aimed more at the techo side of things and they don't want to clutter threads with "comical" banter.
