Hey swaggers,
I've sold my ezytrail hard floor and looking to upgrade to a seconhand MDC voyager v4 rear fold.
Just wondering if anyone has one and what there like? There's not too many reviews on the net and I'd like to get some info on them. How do you rate it overall? Any major problems etc.
Any info will help.

Yeh I have been on that. All info seems pretty positive. A few little issues which is to be expected. Just thought I'd try and get as must as I can to help me make a decision.

Have you searched through the My Camper Trailer Section, I thing there are a few rear fold MDC's listed where different folk have shown theirs. I do know of 1 that wasn't the outcome the owner had hoped for (The camper broke), this thread got locked I think.
The 1st reply above refers to how sometimes these questions can get out of hand when it comes to an imported type product.
For me, to answer your question, I have no experience with the hard floors, have had some with side fold soft floor.
Perhaps you should just go have a look at 1, if you not up for checking it over thoroughly, take someone with you who can and then decide if it is suitable for what camping you have in mind.
Looking at a 2nd hand one which has seen some use should show any concerns I would think.

Good info there. I have looked at a seconhand one in thinking of buying. It all look pretty good other than a few small stone chips on the fridge box that have durable rust. The stone guard must be just not wide enough which is an easy fix. The galvanised chassis and everything else looks nice and solid. All the hatches and drawers all lock In place and open/close properly and seem to seal pretty well.
The owner said the trailer and all the boxes/hatches don't leak. He said they have had some small leaks in the camper in heavy rain so I may have to waterproof it again. Other than that the canvas looks to be in really good nick.
He seems pretty honest and they are only selling to get a caravan as they are going travelling for a long period of time and want something more comfortable.

I camp with 2 voyagers. If the leak is over the head of the bed it'll be the tropical roof not quite making it past the end bow and water pooling up there. Fine tuning the adjustment will fix it rather than reproofing.
The jockey wheels need replacing from factory and you can throw away about half the poles they send with them but apart from that I've spent many dry nights drinking under their awnings. My uncle's one had two bush rats (antechinus) move into his through the back of the kitchen slide last time we were up Fraser. Short of setting the camper on fire we weren't getting them out no matter how hard we tried. Baits at home were the only solution. I see some drill out the riveted access hatches under the bed and turn them into hinges and catches - probably a good idea in his case. For the $14k odd they paid for them, they are both happy campers and played no small part in me signing up for a newer one not long ago.

Thanks GBC another positive post about them. Would love a brand new but not really keen to spend the extra $$ at the moment.
