Do most people use their Tow-Pro on the automatically calibrated setting OR the 'manual' setting? I am not sure mine is 'calibrating' properly. Brake shoes and magnets are 'as new' and properly adjusted.

I use mine in auto on road but in some offroad situations I switch to manual such as steep ascents/descents with erosion humps as they seem to through the braking out a little.
If it isn't working to your satisfaction, I would re-calibrate and do it somewhere you can drive in a straight line for the duration of the calibration.

I use it in auto. Make sure the main controller box is securely firted. If it moves around it will throw out the calibration and be not working correctly

Thanks for the responses. It was 'professionally' fitted and it looks like it was very well done. I will re-calibrate and keep a closer eye on the LED colours during the process. It definitely works very well in manual mode.

Same for me, Auto mostly, manual for on the marbles.
I had nil trouble setting it up and calibrating.

Auto for me as well.
I calibrated ours once at set up and has worked a treat since then.

I'm not sure if mines working correctly or not. It goes to full blue on connection, I can hear the electronic brakes on the camper, it does grab but sometimes it flicks between red/blue when I do light braking? not sure if its correct or not? Also can anyone confirm if you are stationary and have your brakes on does it glow red or stay blue?

Swannie, if stationary with your brakes on the led should be solid red.
Lukeycat, I thought green was user controlled mode, blue is automatic.....unless mines arse about!

Better check as I believe green is manual mode - blue is automatic

Hmmm I think I may be running it in manual mode then which makes sense given I can adjust it depending on the conditions. I will have to try it in automatic mode and judge the difference ;). Sometimes it pays to read the manual and not be the typical stubborn Bloke who thinks he can work it out ;).

Just got the manual out and Blue is auto mode so harder you brake so does trailer. I leave mine on about 4. Find that any higher and when braking on dirt/grass it does lock up trailer tyres.
Green is manual and suited for off-road.
Both modes show change to red when brakes applied. I think mine does when sitting still as well.
I like you can push button and applies only the trailer brakes in any mode. Haven't had real need but did read this would assist to correct trailer sway.
