Title: BT50 Dual Cab Tub Liner
Post by: pajamajero on December 26, 2015, 02:55:07 PM
Hi Folks

Have a new BT50 and am thinking about a tub liner.
Has anyone got product suggestions or experience good/bad on tub liners ?

Would like to fit canopy and draws later too. So liner should merge with those plans in the future (or should it ?)

Cheers

My question would be why?  If you're going to fit drawers later why bother. You'll either have to pull them out to fit drawers or cover them. Personally i dont see the value in tub liners, it's not like you're going to be eating off the tub?
Put the money into the canopy

Two types of fitted tub liners.  Under rail and over rail.  Just make sure what type fits with your chosen canopy.  Not all canopies fit with over rail tub liners.

Fitted tub liners are also known for trapping dirt and debris between the tub and the liner and causing the paint to scratch and rub off.  Spray on tub liners do not suffer from this.

And Moggy makes sense if you are fitting drawers later.

I totally agree with Moggy.....I put drawers in my BT50 and had to take tub liner out...I don't know what TJM did with the tub liner ...i didn't want it anyways.

I see you are from FNQ. The only type of liner (if any) I would use up there is spray on such as rhinolining. Plastic liners trap moisture and will rust out your tray. Better off belting your tray and spraying it when you go to sell it. People buying second hand utes expect to see usage marks or they'll be suspicious.

Mazda do a genuine under rail tub and tailgate liner. This will enable a canopy  to be fitted.  Also covered by warranty. Competitive with aftermarket tubliners.
