While the anguish of waiting almost a year to get our new Retreat caravan is almost unbearable................... :'(
............................we have an exciting distraction upon us now.
Boss lady and I have just bought a couple of acres on the river not far from our current home.
Picture perfect views and some space around us.
While we absolutely love our farm and are keeping that, we will now have country and river views from our everyday home as well.
Going to be a busy few years ahead. Finishing building at the farm (any of my swagger friends are welcome to help - Beer and magical views provided..... ;D)
Beefing up the playdo, tinkering with the new retreat, and now building a new home as well..........
A bit sad to say goodbye to the home we built as newlyweds and had our kids in, but moving onto new adventures.
(and getting away from neighbours who would fill the rant section for eternity!!! >:D)
My son is already working out where his motorbike track is going and my daughter is planning her "zoo"
My head is still spinning, but we are super excited about our new adventures.
Just have to make sure I find time to break in the new van. Hoping to do a Flinders trip next easter, but it may coincide with building so we will have to see.....
cheers from a very excited

Brian looking at your location at Rouse Hill you seem to be doing what many are doing from around there and moving out to the Hawkesbury region to escape their neighbours who seem to be taking over that North West area. We have recently just had 3 new neighbours move into our beautiful part of the world and all had the same reason for moving. We are happy as they seem to be bringing some good dollars and raising the property prices and seem decent folk.
Good luck with the move and build.

Envious. Post up some pics of the view and make it worse. ;D

Yes rags exactly what we are doing.
Taking advantage of the ridiculous price inflation to get some acreage.
Also our neighbours are............ well..............sometimes its just best not to say >:D >:D >:D
A bit of sadness, some great memories, but a new adventure.
Hope to join you soon.

Managed to get out there and get a photo..........
Our new backyard.
River runs down near the tree line and National park on the other side.
All we need now is a house, big shed and some animals........

There you go, Brian, fixed it for you. ;D
So when's the MySwag meet on?
-
I hate you. I mean do you really need an acerage by the river to live on with a new house and a big shed, a bush retreat and a new van.
Oh hang on you drive a Prado, all is forgiven.

NAH MATE...........
Already got that down at our farm..........
Swaggers are welcome, by appointment........... PM me.
On the Mighty Lachlan river with views and waterfront to die for.

Well our house sold in less than 3 days for more than we were asking.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Gotta love a good agent.
We have also found a place to rent while we build and I managed to get the concrete slab poured on the weekend down at the farm.
A VERY big thank you to the mates from who gave up their weekend to come and help.
I think the publican wants to thank you as well as his yearly profit was doubled overnight!!!!!
Now I have a while to finish building down there before I start on the house up here.
Busy busy busy, but not terribly upset as I look to be spending weekends down on the property camping with legs of lamb in the camp oven and bottles of wine scattered around......
(Wondering if you are going to find a weekend to come down soon Steve???) (and others obviously!!!)
