Before I go calling out a plumber, as I couldn't find anything on google, I thought I would see if there were any gas plumbers out there for any simple suggestions.
I have a Gas cooktop in the kitchen (5 burner) , and a outside BBQ (3 burner Weber) all run from 2 swappable 9 kg bottled gas outside.
I have recently noticed, when using the BBQ, that when I turn the first element on, gas flow is fine. But then when turning on the 2nd element, gas pressure to the 2 elements dropped, then turning on 3rd element, gas to all 3 was nearly non-existent.
Went inside to the kithen. Turned on 1 element, full gas flow, turned on 2nd, slight drop across 2, turned on 3rd, drop across all 3 etc.
Active bottled gas in use was quite full. Swapped across to other bottle which is full. Same issue occurred.
Bottles of gas are connected via switchable valve to a regulator, and then into the house wall.
The issue may have been there for a little while (weeks) as we generally only use 1 or 2 elements on the kitchen, and haven't used the BBQ for several weeks.
Anything obvious I should try or I need a plumber ?

Sorry Mark, I should wait for a few colourful replies first, but I thought I would get in early, based on the LG Plumbing thread.... ;D ;D
I have very little useful knowledge on this topic to assist you.
Cheers,
Pog.

I'm not an expert but a mate had the same symptoms with his camper. It was the regulator.

Turns out it was the regulator. 2nd one in 5 years.
Thanks Russ.

By the way, I'm glad you were able to solve the problem nice and quickly. ;D
I'm going over to the electrical thread now,,,, maybe a bit more action to see. :cup:

I trust that you used a licensed gas fitter to change it over and test it for you, and that you notified your insurance company of the changes, oh , and don't forget to send a copy of the certificate of compliance to the insurance company >:D >:D

Mark,
For reference my brother is a plumber with all of his gas certifications - feel free to give him a call.
He charges by the carton.

Not really he got a result, he asked for advise from a qualified gasfitter ,and I was happy to assist but preferred to sort it offline with a simple diagnosis and recommendation.
