Title: New Jayco J Pod
Post by: RiCoda on February 09, 2015, 04:03:17 PM
Thinking this might be my next van ....
Rumored to be released in a few months
Maybe a outback model coming
maybe a slideout kitchen
maybe a removable bed so you can carry bikes in it ...

$8990 with tent is the standard price so far

Will keep you updated as i hear more ..

Do you mean you buy a van and then setup a tent to sleep in ?????    ???

double bed in the van, lifts up for storage underneath, tunnel boot at the front for "outside gear"

tent goes on the back for a living area, but from what i've heard you can use the bed without the tent, not like their old j-pod model

yeah ... i'm pretty keen to have a look when they become available ..
the pod's are imported and the chassis is made at jayco, so i'm hoping for a outback model with extended drawbar and elec brakes and "pimp it out" myself :)

Put a quality slide out kitchen, simple 12v system and a foxwing style awning on it for less than 10k and it would sell like hotcakes.....

Cool .... Let me know what you think of it ... maybe you could see if the following are on it

Interior Lights ? or for that matter any power at all
Elec Brakes?
try and see if you can lock/unlock the hatch from inside so it can be used without the tent?
room for a water tank underneath ?

cheers
