All of the ground around this area is held by mining companies, I wonder if they got permission to work it ?
For those who do not know, most of the Australian gold fields are have some form or another of mining claim (lease) on them, and legal access to detect the ground must be sought and given by the lease holder. Heavy penalties can be imposed through the courts for people stealing gold off registered tenements.
I also wonder if they are filling in the holes they dig? Wandering stock could get hurt if a leg went into one of their holes.

Hey Duggie
Yes you are right this area would be covered by an EPM (exploration permit) & most of the potential productive country will have an EPM over it.
However this does not provide the mining companies exclusive access which prohibits, fosicking, it only excludes other mining companies, the only permission that is legally required in these area's is that of the Pastoral Lease holder, I highly doubt that they would put this video out if they did not have permission, these guy's have been operating in this area for a long time & know what they must do to keep getting access, as far as filling holes, anyone who detects & gets good gold knows that you need to cover your tracks as much as possible which means covering your holes as best you can so others can't find them easily.
