ummmmm, am I missing something?
-
It must be "A Sign"
-
Bloomin photo didn't load
-
It means that the road ahead is unsuitable for caravan bus over 7 metres? ??? ;D ;D
-
Does the 7 m refer to caravan length or total rig length?
-
Common sense says the whole rig.
But common sense isnt so common anymore.
Bill
-
Hi,
My guess it is a steep narrow road ahead somewhere.
Cheers
-
I think it means the road is unsuitable for a bus towing a caravan.
-
If your bus or car and caravan length is over 7 meters, the road ain't suitable. ???
I am obviously missing something here.

Well,
We went up to Border Ranges NP for a few days and entered from the east heading over to Sheepstation Creek Camping Ground.

You go about 10 k's and then you get to the NP entry and pay your money and that sign was there. Well one that looks like that one as thats the one from the west. We have the V6 Prado and the 16ft Outback Expanda that weighs in at about 2T and I am scratching my head trying to work out whether it means NO CARAVANS period or Caravans and Buses under 7m. I figured it meant the latter (otherwise a seven hundred point turn was in order).
Off we trot and after a few k's its into low range 1st and we are averaging 48litres per 100k's off the scangauge and doing about 10kph up these real steep inclines. Still happy.
But after a while, each time we passed another fourby this scene kept playing in the back of my head;

It really only sunk home that maybe it meant no caravans when bloody Gandalf, Bilbo and Aragorn gave me that "what a moron" look as they ducked through the gates to Moria. Finally got almost through and came across smokey the ranger coming the other way who pulled over to the side of the track and wound his window down. He was about to say something when he spied, quiet thoughtfully, the "dont say a (&&( word" look that you obtain in middle age......
We made it though. And had a ball. And the expanda was great. And the Prado was great (though bloated from the big drink...)
:D

It means you can't put a caravan on the roof racks of your bus if they have over 7 motors
-
:worthles:
-
The sign means there are some tools who deface signs :D

lol.......took ya time
-
Generally would be steep or tight turns - not suitable for caravans (due to weight and length) or buses (vans / motor homes) due to turning circle...

How would you interpret this advisory sign?
Like most of the yellow speed advisory signs that are way too conservative. But I'd slow down a bit and take it gently.
-
Means READ the BLOODY sign and do as it says .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icXipapYSmg (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icXipapYSmg) ;D
