Title: Rolling roof rack - very clever
Post by: DaveR on November 12, 2014, 03:14:44 PM
Swaggers
Looking for a CT Mod solution?
The work which has gone into this Gents Troopy could help.
Although, can't help but wonder about supporting the weight when it is being extended or retracted.
Very clever either way.

Should of set it up as a side slide and made a hard roof awning out of it with points to fit walls to it ..

Looks like a handy bit of kit, but is it common or strange that a Troopy would need an $8000 gearbox repair at 180 000km?
Cheers

I would prefer to think not common at all, mine has near 450,000 k's with out a spanner to it excluding 2nd clutch and pto repairs.
That much money ort to buy a lot of work in reference to a gear box. Perhaps the price included something else to.

Nifty idea. I wouldn't want to put too much weight on the racks when it was pushed forward though!
