Hi,
I just wanted to share a link of a story that ABC western Queensland posted on my family today. Quite a surprise to see it when we got service back after finishing the Strzelecki track.

We definitely would not have made it this far without the wonderful resource that is this site. I tell everyone I meet on the road about it if they don't already know!
(Moderators please move if this is the wrong section...)

Well done maaaaayte !! (said with the strongest Stralian accent possible) ! On the article and also on your blog - great reading and a great adventure - hopefully you are taking heaps of video footage for the lads to watch later on when they are older. Thanks for sharing.

Always great to hear stories like this. A good reminder that we are fortunate to live in a place that people from other countries dream of going to. Yes its a huge place and the distance/travel time from some capital cities to some of our spectacular outback locations is further and more expensive than traveling over seas. But its well worth doing and if a family from urban New York can value it and then do something about it then so can the rest of us
Well done guys!!

Great story Jay. Nothing like just pulling up stumps and heading of. How did you go on the Tele track? Did you get the camper through? Would have been good to talk to you longer about your trip when we were at Bramwell Station. In case you don't remember us we were in the Challenger next to you.
Edit:- Read the blog. I thought Nolans would be an issue.

Fantastic, quickly skimmed your blog, definitely looks like your having fun. And to think you've probably already seen more of Australia than 70% of Aussies ( number randomly picked)

Great story Brooklyn and a credit to you and the family. Your kids will benefit and grow from this time together like you could never imagine.
-
Great article guys. We have been following your blog. We especially liked your Cape York posts.
Trip of a lifetime. Good on you.

Just read your blog - great read. BTW in your piece about the bacon stealing kookaburra you mention that they slapped in on the ground. This is typical behaviour for a kooka as when they catch live prey - like lizards and small snakes it is how they kill them.

Awesome. Reading the blog now :D
