Title: Carrying diesel jerry cans under canopy

I can't find any clear advice.., is it legal to carry diesel in approved jerry cans in a ute canopy, in particular WA?

I've done it before but have never really known whether it's is legal or not for the longer more remote trips...

Diesel is not classified as a Dangerous Goods, so no transporting issues in this regard.
